The texture of a condom’s surface is all about how it feels for your partner. The different types are categorised as smooth, ribbed, dotted and combination.
How to choose
- Smooth – the largest sub-category: ultra-thin Sagami and SKYN, classic Dolphi, UNIQ and LEX. The most natural sensation.
- Ribbed – ring-shaped ribs running the full length or just at the top.
- Dotted – small raised dots distributed across the surface; SKYN Intense Feel, LEX Dotted, ONE Super Studs.
- Ribbed with dots — both textures on a single condom, for example, Dolphi 3-in-1.
The texture is felt more strongly on thin latex and with a sufficient amount of lubricant. If in doubt, choose a mixed pack with different textures.
